Alex has worked as a jazz musician, business leader, consultant and coach for the last 25 years, leading organisational development, innovation, research and change programmes within industry and government, and with leading Business Schools, research centres and universities in Europe, Asia and Africa.
Alex is a Visiting Professor in Transformational Learning and Sustainable Development at the University of Liberal Arts, Dhaka, Bangladesh (ULAB), and he is a regular contributor to leadership development programmes organised by top business schools and consultancies like Lacerta. Alex is also a member of the international community of Solutions Focus coaching practitioners.
Alex is well known as a consultant, trainer, coach, author and jazz pianist, working with teams, organisations and communities to facilitate change, creativity and innovation. He is known for his work partnering with our own Caryn Vanstone to bring leading edge learning on innovation and collaboration through high-engagement keynotes and development sessions, which incorporate live improvised jazz performances.
Alex is the Founding Director of Improwise, an organisation supporting leadership development, change management, transformational learning, sustainability and community development projects throughout the world. Alex is also leading a range of leadership development programmes taking professionals in public and private sector organisations out to Uganda, Kenya, Bangladesh, Venezuela and Colombia, to participate in community projects which link with programmes for corporate social responsibility and sustainable development.
